1. The flex-part is designed for packing soft luggage (i.e. clothing, sleeping bag, etc.) It's easy to pack when off the bike. Do not place fragile or sharp objects
inside the flex-part. The flex-part is designed to compress your luggage
when fastened to the bike.
2. Fill the flex-part with soft luggage by using the large inner bag.
3. Secure the luggage with the Velcro fasteners on top. Max load -5kg.
4. The straps should be threaded trough the slits in the topfold of the flex-part.
5. Make sure that no parts of the FastBag conflict with moving or hot parts of the bike.
6. Cut the straps to the appropriate length only when the flex-part is fully stretched. (Or you might end up with too short straps..!).
7. To prevent the strap ends from fraying you may want to slightly melt them with a lighter.
8. Tighten the straps firmly. This will cause the flex-part to compress your luggage.
9. Excess strapping may be hidden underneath the Velcro fasteners.
10. Push the padding in place.
11. To preserve the lacquered surfaces on your bike it may be a good idea to tape some clear self-adhesive foil in places that are in direct contact with the Fastbag™
parts.
12. Your fragile or non-compressible luggage should be placed in the compartment created above the Velcro fasteners. (Use the small inner bag for this) The compartment will not be subject to forces and is always available simply by opening
the lid.
13. Lock the lid before driving.
